Gitlitz Cottage: June 2007

June 12, 2007 -- Window casing is installed. Interior doors will be installed and trimmed starting today.

June 13, 2007 -- The interior doors are hung. Baseboard is being installed.

June 15, 2007 -- The bedroom ceilings are finished. The wire is for a ceiling fan.

June 15, 2007 -- The dormers have boards on the side walls to match the ceiling. Soon the top beam will be trimmed and other beams and trim will be added.

June 15, 2007 -- The guest bedroom also has the ceiling finished. Air conditioning is now on. Flooring will begin in a few days.

June 18, 2007 -- Back porch screen is being installed on the cottage. On the right edge of the porch, you can see a reflection of the sun on the bronze screen.

June 20, 2007 -- The guest bathroom has honeycomb shaped (hexagon) small tile on the floor. You can see the air conditioner vent on the right and toilet connection on the left.

June 20, 2007 -- The wood flooring is down. It is neatly fitted and trimmed.

June 20, 2007 -- This a view across the great room from the front door to the back porch door.

June 21, 2007 -- The bronze screen is clearly visible above the railing. Screen for below the railing will be installed in the next few days.

June 21, 2007 -- Tile is being installed around the tub in the guest bathroom.

June 21, 2007 -- Another view of the tile surrounding the guest bathroom The dark spots are spacers and will come out as soon as the cement cures.

June 21, 2007 -- This is a view of the floor from the Kitchen area to the fireplace. The unfinished floor is smooth enough to have a shine from the windows.

June 21, 2007 -- The guest bath also has a hexagonal tile. It has light gray tiles in the pattern.

June 25, 2007 -- The master bath tile has a gray accent near the top. The sheet rock above the tile has not been painted yet.

June 28, 2007 -- The shower and master bath tile looks very nice. The floor of the shower needs to be grouted still.
