August 1, 2007 -- The trees that are being cleared are trucked to a mulching facility for recycling.

August 2, 2007 -- The track hoe crushed this 8" pine tree with its jaws a moment after this photo was taken. Who needs a saw?

August 2, 2007 -- The lot is about cleared now. It does not take many loads from the track hoe to fill the truck.

August 2, 2007 -- This hickory was trimmed and will be left for a local saw mill operator.

August 9, 2007 -- The area for the house looks much different with the trees cleared. Huspa Creek is visible through the trees.

August 9, 2007 -- The small storage building on the north edge of the clearing will be moved in a few days.

August 15, 2007 -- The surveyor has staked out the house so the health department can place the septic tank and drain field.

August 15, 2007 -- The house is marked in white and the garage, blue. The garage is near the center of the screen.
