May 7, 2009 -- Here is a view down the south (right) side of the house where the landscapers are adding topsoil.

May 7, 2009 -- Here you can see that the courtyard is progressing. The strings are up laying out the walls and some of the footings are dug.

May 7, 2009 -- The front side of the house and garage has now been "enriched" with topsoil.

May 7, 2009 -- The back side of the house now has its topsoil covering the ground.

May 13, 2009 -- Here is the courtyard wall footing all dug out with rebar in place and ready for concrete.

May 13, 2009 -- The apron slab in front of the garage is dug out, formed up and ready for concrete.

May 13, 2009 -- We installed a continuous rebar around the perimeter, thickened the edges and reinforced the corners to prevent breakage.

May 13, 2009 -- The courtyard wall footers are in the process of being poured with concrete.

May 13, 2009 -- This is looking towards the garage. The curve is elliptical and will be a real challenge to lay brick to.

May 13, 2009 -- Where the plywood is will be a gap in the wall with a pillar on either side. We ran the concrete through for added strength and durability.

May 13, 2009 -- With steel reinforced concrete footers these walls should last as long as the house and never settle, crack or lean.

May 13, 2009 -- The garage apron is now poured. The concrete is still damp but will be consistently colored once it has dried.
