Lowcountry Plantation Remodel: October 2007

October 11, 2007 -- The last cabinets finally came in and were installed. The undercounter light still needs to go under the new cabinet (left on the top). You can see the wire for the light.


October 12, 2007 -- The window from the stairway to the dining room has been removed. Sheet rock is on the dining room side. The stairwell will be finished today.


October 12, 2007 -- The access to under the house now has a cover. It can be easily removed for access.


October 16, 2007 -- The bath hardware (mirror, toilet paper holder and towel ring) have been installed.


October 16, 2007 -- Electrical boxes have been installed and wired for two more wall sconces.


October 16, 2007 -- The cypress paneling in the stairway has been replaced where the window was removed. It will be stained to match the existing cypress.


October 16, 2007 -- Floodlights are now installed at two corners of the house. They are on a dimmer. This corner is the kitchen. The other corner (not shown) is the master bedroom.


October 18, 2007 -- The walls have been painted with their final coat. The ceiling is really a green color even though it is not obvious in the photo. Painting should be complete today.


October 22, 2007 -- The window to the stairway is gone and the wall is painted.


October 22, 2007 -- The stairway wall boards that are where the window was have been stained and match nicely.


October 22, 2007 -- The bar now has granite tops on both counters. The original sink was retained. The wall will be touched up and the room repainted soon.


October 27, 2007 -- The bar now has granite counter tops. It will be painted soon.


October 27, 2007 -- The wood shed wall has been finished. This storage is for the fireplace.


October 27, 2007 -- The light rails are installed so the under counter lights are not visible.
