Gitlitz Cottage: December 2006

December 1, 2006 -- Front porch columns are in place.

December 4, 2006 -- The front porch beam is in place. Front porch rafters are being installed.

December 5, 2006 -- The front porch roof is sheathed. Wind and ice seal is being applied to the roof.

December 6, 2006 -- The front porch continues to be completed.

December 6, 2006 -- The rear porch beams and columns are installed. Rafters are being installed.

December 14, 2006 -- Very nice Pella windows are being installed.

December 14, 2006 -- The front porch has exposed beams and framing.

December 14, 2006 -- An inside view of one of the two dormers. An arched window will be installed in the dormer.

December 14, 2006 -- A view of the great room showing the chimney. The two dormers are visible on either side of the photo.

December 15, 2006 -- Most of the windows are installed. The dormer window and door lights have not been installed yet. The rectangular opening on the gable ends are for vents.

December 15, 2006 -- The front porch is looking very good with the windows installed. The door and lights will be installed soon.

December 20, 2006 -- The rear porch windows are now installed. Beams from the house to the porch columns are also installed.

December 21, 2006 -- The front dormer window is installed as is the front door system.

December 21, 2006 -- The rear porch rafter system is being completed.

December 21, 2006 -- This shows the front door system. Notice there are two lights (windows) on each side of the door.
