Gitlitz Cottage: May 2007

May 1, 2007 -- This is a photo of the back porch and stairs of the cottage. The outside is basically finished.

May 1, 2007 -- V-groove boards go on the ceiling. Soon, large beams will go across the room.

May 3, 2007 -- The ceiling in the master bedroom looks very nice.

May 9, 2007 -- Window casings are installed. Even the arched dormer windows get casing.

May 9, 2007 -- All of the windows are cased. Door casing will wait until flooring is installed.

May 17, 2007 -- This shows the back of the Gitlitz Cottage and Garage. The garage is to the right and has blue house wrap.

May 23, 2007 -- The ceiling boards are being installed. We had some delays because of poor quality lumber. These boards are the third try by our supplier. If material is not good, we don't use it.

May 23, 2007 -- The ceiling is finished in the great room. The dormer walls inside will also have wood.

May 23, 2007 -- The front hallway also gets V-Groove wood. It is being installed as this is written.

May 24, 2007 -- Bricks are being laid on the four stoops around the house. They will also be in front of the storage room door at the garage.

May 25, 2007 -- This is the steps that are closest to the garage. They now have a brick landing.

May 25, 2007 -- The hallway now has a V-Groove ceiling. You can also see the great room ceiling on the right side of the photo.

May 25, 2007 -- The back steps (as well as the other three set of steps) have a brick landing.

May 31, 2007 -- Wood flooring has been delivered. It will be installed in the near future.
