Keller Residence: November 2007

November 1, 2007 -- The front stairs now have a hand railing. They will receive a finish before too long.

November 1, 2007 -- The railing is installed in the upstairs hallway. The Brays room is to the left. Fans will be installed where the coils of wire are hanging from the beams.

November 1, 2007 -- These are the upstairs railings as viewed from the Brays room. The opening on the left is the front stairway.

November 1, 2007 -- The public porch has a hand railing installed. It will be screened before too long.

November 1, 2007 -- A tile back splash is being laid behind where the stove will be placed. The tile has just been started. It will go up much higher.

November 2, 2007 -- The tile back splash is finished. It will be grouted in the next few days. The white spot in the middle is for a pot filler.

November 2, 2007 -- The rear deck now has a railing. Stairs will be on the side not shown in the photo.

November 2, 2007 -- The private deck (off the master bedroom) has railings. It will be screened. The rear deck is on the right.

November 2, 2007 -- The public porch railing is nearly complete. This porch will also be screened. The deck steps will be built between the two brick columns.

November 7, 2007 -- Railings are being built on the breezeway. They match the porch and patio deck railings.

November 7, 2007 -- The south end of the Brays room will have an A/V cabinet on the right where the ladders are now. The fireplace will have a mantle and hearth. You can see a small piece of the upstairs railing on the upper right.

November 14, 2007 -- The house now has gutters. Notice how well the color matches the trim color.

November 14, 2007 -- The breezeway is getting railings to match those on the porches and deck. The columns will have base caps to cover the aluminum bases the columns rest upon.

November 14, 2007 -- Interior doors have been hung. They are Shaker design with square edges. The hardware is oil rubbed bronze.

November 19, 2007 -- The ceiling of the Brays room has been primed and is ready to paint. Notice the painters' plastic hanging on right where painting is being done.

November 23, 2007 -- The porch columns are getting framing for screening. They also now have bases and caps.

November 23, 2007 -- The final kitchen cabinet was installed in the garage apartment this week. The appliances are also installed in the garage apartment kitchen.

November 23, 2007 -- The "kitchen sink" window has a nice view of the main house and the marsh. The paper hanging out of the house windows is masking paper. Painting should be done next week.

November 27, 2007 -- Handrails have now been built on the breezeway steps. They will be painted to match the other trim.

November 28, 2007 -- A window seat is being built in the mud room. The window seat will be stained. The spots on the window casing are putty filling nail holes. It will be sanded and painted.

November 28, 2007 -- The bedrooms are being painted. This is the south upstairs bedroom.

November 28, 2007 -- This is the middle upstairs bedroom. Closet shelves and rods have been installed as can be seen.

November 28, 2007 -- This is the northern bedroom (near the garage). The windows are coated with a special mask that peels off when the painting is finished.

November 28, 2007 -- The bathroom attached to the northern bedroom has been painted (as have several of them). The chair rail around the room is nicely rounded on the corners.

November 28, 2007 -- The lounge upstairs is also being painted its finish coat. The built-in cabinet has been painted white.
